Interest in Uruguay is picking up again – BPC bid for the OFF 1 block, following offers for OFF-2 and OFF-3 from Kosmos Energy in 2019. If all contracts are executed, all shallow-water acreage will be fully licensed. Uruguay’s offshore is frontier, with only three wells drilled. Most recently was Total‘s Raya-1 dry hole in the deep waters.
